WHY DO I NEED ENERGY CERTIFICATION AND WHAT WILL YOU EVALUATE?

Why do I need to certify my home?

Energy certification is mandatory in the conclusion of purchase and sale or lease contracts. The presentation of the energy class is also mandatory in any commercial advertisement (DL118/2013).

What do you evaluate in my house?

Energy certification evaluates the thermal behavior of the construction elements of the house, such as the insulation of the walls and windows, the heat gains and losses of the house. Heating and ventilation systems are also evaluated. 

Am I required to implement the improvements?

The measures are not mandatory, they are just recommendations to help reduce your bill and minimize environmental impact.

What can I do if my home's energy class is low?

If your home's energy class is low (less than C) and you want to improve its efficiency, you can implement the improvement measures shown on your energy certificate
